Interactive Session with Mr. Jonas Michael Türk, Consul & Head of Visa Section, German Consulate General, Bangalore

GTech, in collaboration with Technopark Trivandrum, hosted an interactive session with Mr. Jonas Michael Türk, Consul & Head of Visa Section, German Consulate General, Bangalore, during his visit to Technopark on 12th November 2025.

The discussions centered around the reopening of the German Visa Facilitation Service (VFS) Centre in Thiruvananthapuram and the challenges faced by Technopark companies in processing visa applications through Kochi. In response, Mr. Türk expressed the Consulate’s readiness to explore monthly or bi-monthly visa camps within Technopark as an initial step to address the demand.

It was agreed that Technopark, with support from GTech, would extend necessary facilities to host these visa camps and coordinate with the German Consulate and Goethe-Zentrum Trivandrum to ensure smooth execution. The initiative is expected to significantly benefit companies with ongoing collaborations and business operations in Germany.

The session was attended by Col. Sanjeev Nair (Retd.), CEO, Technopark; Dr. Syed Ibrahim, Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany for Kerala and Director, Goethe-Zentrum; Shri Sree kumar V, Secretary, GTech & Centre Head, Tata Elxsi; Eapen Toni John, CEO, GTech; VISHNU V NAIR, Lead IT Strategist, High Power IT Committee, Govt. of Kerala; along with representatives from UST, Quest Global, Allianz Services, Acsia Technologies, dSPACE,Tata Elxsi,ARS Analytics, H&R Block to name a few.
